Let's Keep The Ball Rolling!

The 2007 South Meck Lady Sabres would like to extend an invitation to any/all summer tournament softball teams in joining us in the campaign for Breast Cancer Awareness. Breast cancer affects one out of eight women in the United States. Four out of twelve Sabre mom's were affected by cancer within the South Meck Softball program. The Lady Sabre softball team wore wristbands this season with a pink logo to symbolize the importance and emphasis for early detection and breast cancer awareness. The band also symbolized our unity for our loved ones affected by cancer within our team.

The Lady Sabres would like to extend our unity in the fight for breast cancer. We would like to extend our support for teams with loved ones affected by breast cancer by offering breast cancer awareness wristbands to all softball teams/players and parents. The wristbands are white with the pink breast cancer awareness ribbon embroidered on them. If your team does not have loved ones affected by cancer and you would still like to promote the importance of early detection, we will make the bands available to your team. The bands were worn on the glove forearm or upper arm. If you are interested in obtaining wristbands for your team, please contact Coach Crego at [email protected] or via phone at 704-490-0043.

The NFCA sponsors this project and encourages collegiate teams to host games, as a means to raise awareness.

We were fortunate to host such a game this spring in Raleigh.
Peace and Meredith both wore uniforms trimed in PINK in our DH in early April.
