    Does anybody in the softball world know who the youngest high school player of any sport in N.C.???...I'm not concerned about eligibility of the kid, just the age / who it was....Thanks,Guru

    I know wrestling

    First of all, I am an assistant coach at Newton-Conover. I know for a fact that the assistant coach for Bunker Hill high (Catawba county) let his son Jacob (7th grade) wrestle a couple dual meets and tournaments this past season so they would not forfeit. He has also gone with us to camps at APP and UNC Pembroke and wrestled against varsity kids. He beats up on Bunker Hills state champ(103 lbs) in practice nearly every day. Not sure if he's the youngest, but I'll bet it's close.
