limit pitches & curve balls ??

    How bout you throw what I call, then sit down and let the DH take care of your hitting duties.

    i think the biggest thing is to use common sense. i think there are some general "guidlines" that should be looked at. but there are a FEW exceptions to the rule. i had a kid who graduated 2 years ago that could have thrown just about every day. the way his body was put together allowed him to throw and throw and throw with out any problems. i have had others that required the 4-5 day rest before even thinking about them throwing. i think alot depends on the kid and the way his body develope. som have loser ligaments and tendons that may allow for more pitching. i think MOST high school coaches have a good understanding of this and usually side on the safer side.
