    Hibriten had a player wearing some and cut our 3rd basemans leg on a slide. Foot slid up by accident and caught the shin bone. Runner was called safe on the play.

    ....if metal cleats would help our offense, I'd pay for them myself.

    Sorry that happened but no one on Hibriten wears metal cleats. It is thier choice but so far none of them have decided to switch.

    I was looking into the sun and thought I saw metal at the foot. My mistake, I've never seen plastic shoes cut a leg. Sorry coach.

    Well our group are allowed to, but i believe my two are the only ones that actually are. I wasn't a fan of them as i've said before but my DDs absolutely love them especially Morgan who says it gives her a little extra drive off the mound. :xyxthumbs:

    Metal Cleats

    Toni-Ann Williford is the only player on Harnett Central wearing metal. Trying to prepare for next year at NCSU. She did have a nasty slide Friday night because of them. Sliding into 3rd, heel caught and she rolled over third. Very close to injuring herself. Fortunately it was just a stumble bumble slide.

    Our catcher got her foot cut last week by metal cleats from an unnecessary slide into home plate. She was a couple feet past the plate and it was a slide through - no play at home. The cleat cut a slice right through the top of her shoe into her toes. The irony is our catcher is the only one to wear metal on the team. Injury wasn't severe, but I believe it hurt like crazy. Might have been a lesson in there somewhere...
