Not sure if they were metal cleats or not, but from where I was sitting when my player was covering home and a runner slid into her,( just playing the game it happens) cleat up and sliced her skin and stopped at her knee, leaving damage we are not sure of yet , It makes me wonder if a little better traction is worth maybe ending somebody's game for life. Not anybody's fault it happens, when you put yourself out there, it is part of the game, nobody's whinning just wondering is it worth the risk. By the way the opposing team handled theirsevles like true good sports(women). Thank-you North I. and thanks for all of your help.:N1yeeaah:God Bless

I would bet that metal cleats will be a one year thing for high school.

Mauldin High School (SC) players were given the choice. I know at least some of the varsity players have metal cleats and love them.
