I just noticed that three of our local players from last year made the CAA All Rookie team: Ashley Christy, Jordan Critcher, and Sarah Mooney. In addition, Ashley and Sarah made second team all conference along with Caitlin Sandy (soph). Congratulations to all of them. You can see the entire list at the bottom of the story below:

    Props to another Freshman!!

You have to give props to another NC Freshman, Sarah Warnock. Sarah was named to the 1st team 2012 All Conference Team and named Freshman of the Year by the SoCon softball coaches.

Sarah hit .386 during the regular season and .403 in conference play. She had a .450 slugging percentage and .442 on-base percentage. The Jamestown, N.C., native tallied 54 hits and 13 RBI and was second on the Mountaineer squad with nine doubles.

Way to go Sarah!! I didn't expect anything less from you. - Coach Judy

Morgan Lashley and Sarah Mooney (again)

Morgan and Sarah also made the NFCA all region team (2nd team) for the Northeast region and are both eligible for one of the three All American teams which will be announced on May 30th.

Morgan also made 1st team Patriot League along with winning Pitcher of the Year and Rookie of the Year. She finished the year tied 2nd in wins and 10th in shutouts.

    Congrats to both of them.
