this will be the first time in HISTORY of the UNCC program that there are 2 full time assistants dedicated to recruiting. Their first priority this coming season is to recruit Charlotte kids! You will see the difference starting immediately, since the contact period just began. A new field, stadium, and 2 new full time assistants recruiting are gonna pay huge dividends signing the local products.

    Metro,

You're right. Hall and Durkac are very serious about recruiting.

I keep forgetting C-USA is viewed more as a basketball conference (your espn footnote) because Houston and Tulane sure aren't dead weight on the baseball side.

By the way, did you play for Smitty at Providence?

UH, Tulane, ECU, Southern Miss, South Fla, and TCU were all in and out of the top 25 last year.

yes I played on Gary Smith's first Providence team in 1990.......and got the first W on the mound in school history. :D

Is this really and truly happening? I have not heard of one young man locally that is being recruited by UNCC which is a shame. I know that they have seen a few at some of the summer showcase tourneys.

I heard that UNC-C is actively recruiting Zachary Farry who is a rising senior and a LHP/1st/OF @ Independence High this year. I'm sure that there are many more as well that we have just not heard about?!?

Both of the UNCC coaches have been very active this summer. They have been at State Games, Impact, Perfect Game @ ECB, TeamOne @ Ga. Tech and at various team practices.

Much different from past years from what I hear from long time people who are in those circles.

Hopefully the charlotte area players will take advantage of the interest and play there.

To see this list, do you have to subscribe to Impact Baseball?

I am a little confused. I thought that we were talking about UNC-C recruiting on this this thread?!? UNC-C has no recruiting or prospect list posted that I am aware of at this time and I'm sure will not have one published but...Impact Baseball does have a NC & SC "prospect list" on their website, and yes, you have to subscribe to the Impact subscription to get the SC & NC prospect lists.
