    Quad

Quads can be tricky and there may be more going on than you think. If the pain continues past a week or so with no improvement, I would see an Orthopedist. My son was experiencing pain in his upper right quad and we thought it was just a strain that needed some extended rest - unfortunately that was not the case. After taking him to the Orthopedist, a three hour surgery (on Feb 3rd) was required to fix the problem. Luckily, he had a tremendous doctor and after only three weeks he is back to about 90% of where he was pre-injury and making daily progress. His recovery is about two weeks ahead of schedule.

My son’s case is an extreme example, but if the problem continues, I would find your son a good doctor and set-up an appointment.

Allow me to interject this as well. 2 years ago my son experienced a progressively worse pain in his hip where his flexor was located - to the point that he could barely walk without grimacing (He hid it from the coaches and me until it became unbearable) I took him to a sports medicine specialist in Charlotte. We did an MRI, the works. They put him on therapy, rest, rehab, you name it. After the "rest and rehab "(+ multiple $$$) as soon as he tried to play again, instant pain, even worse than ever. His sports specialists wanted him to take a year off which at that time looked disasterous. Wondering what to do, another friend who's son had been injured and got final remedy through accupuncture recommended a chiropractor/acupuncturist. Until then I thought chiropractic was all chicken bones and goofy dust, something out of a Tarzan movie with voo doo dolls.
Yet, first appointment, the doc showed me how much my son's hip was out of alignment, asked if there had been a recent ankle injury (He had a severe sprain the year before stretching toward first), and explained that favoring that ankle had caused muscular displacement and was aggravating the hip flexor. HE popped my son's hip back in line and stuck 20-30 needles in his hip and ankle. Sure enough, that was the fix. We still send him a couple times a month to get it straightened. Funny side, the first time he got "adjusted" he looked at me and said, "Dad, my right cheek is too high." I replied that my butt had been up in the air for years --- with my head in it half the time.
Just a suggestion for you... :ass:
