If you have not heard by now, LS is recalling all OneX models they have made. As of this morning they will be put on the banned bat list by all associations.

    Here is more information:

Here is what they are going to offer the consumer in return:

In relation to the Louisville Slugger voluntary recall of the 2013 oneX, we hear your concerns. Again, we will do everything we can to support you, our loyal customers, through this situation. To that end, the replacement will be in the form of a Xeno, but we will provide more than just the bat. In addition to the Xeno we will give customers the choice of one of the following: A) a glove or bag with an $80 retail value. B) a $50 stored value gift card that's just like cash C) a 2014 oneX or equivalent bat to ship in August. Please contact our customer service toll free at 1-800-282-2287 for additional information.

    I read

I read the re-call statemant about the cracking and possible breaks. But would that make LS pull a whole line. We have heard of Worths, Stealth and CF3, CF4, early Xeno cracking or breaking at the joint spot and No recall issued. I bet that LS recalled, because the bat was becoming to HOT with the composite centers. OneX is hot out of the wrapper and can only get hotter w the composite center piece VS a Xeno w an allumnium center piece. 2014 Onex will likely have alumnium center piece.

I agree 100% with you! I have heard of a lot breaking, maybe even more than normal, but the things were just stupid hot out of the wrapper.

Contrary to what Louisville originally posted in their marketing material, the OneX did not have composite rings installed in it. The bat had the same metal rings in the barrel. The original prototype had composite rings as they suggested, but they broke inside the barrel and they were forced to go back to the metal rings. The problem is entirely due to the connection piece, it just didn't hold up......as for the barrel, the OneX and the Xeno are identical. It is unfortunate, but trust me no manufacturer would pull their bat because it is too hot!!!.......the certification specs and testing procedures would handle that.

    not listed

Just looked on the ASA site OneX FP13M -10, -9, -8 have been removed from the approved list....... I think NSA has done the same

    Amateur Softball Association of America

On another site a gentleman used option #C ..LS rep told him he would receive a 13 Xeno to KEEP as a replacement and this July or August would receive the NEW updated 14 OneX...... Not a bad deal.

I opted for option C as well. Not sure why you wouldn't!
