Congrats to Crest JR Dusty Quattlebaum

Crest High and Shelby Post 82 baseball standout Dusty Quattlebaum has been named to the 2006 Louisville Slugger Pre-Season High School All-America second team as selected by the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper.

Last season the 6-0, 196-pound Quattlebaum, who plays third base, hit .404 with eight home runs for the Chargers, then belted 17 home runs for Post 82 in legion play.

That's just awesome to have 6 players representing NC like that, and another one on the second team. I think I've seen the Dusty kid play for Impact?- Yup, he's a player. I know it's a wayy early for the 2007 class, but some are already going quick, what about Quattlebaums future? As for Timmy, I think these posts will actually help him out- like others have helped kids in the past become signed- he's a true competitor and Collegiate Baseball had a nice article on the kid.

At least in my dictionary when you look up the word hitter it says "Dusty Quattlebaum". The kid can stroke it - sweet swing:ylsuper:

I like what each of these players have going on, they are all true competitors. I'm interested to see what each of them can do and how Thrailkill and King do on the pitching aspect again this year.
