watching a college game on TV , W. Va. @ Notre Dame. appears there maybe 50-75 fans maximum in the stands.

must be a tough deal coaching and promoting such a program in northern regions.

Unfortunately, it doesn't thaw out in South Bend, Columbus, Ann Arbor, etc until May. However, when it does thaw out, students and the supporters start coming out of hibernation to get some "color."

I always thought it was amazing that schools like ND, Nebraska, Michigan and Maine could field talented teams that competed in the College World Series. Based purely on weather conditions, who would want to play baseball up north?

That game had a several hour rain (cold rain) delay. Snowed there yesterday. They showed the Alabama / Tenn game as a replay during the delay.

I certainly wouldn't have waited around to watch that game.

W.Va./Notre Dame gets on t.v. with 75 fans and ECU consistently fills up the stands and can't get on t.v. Makes no sense to me.

    Bonsway......makes perfect sense to me......

"ECU consistently fills the stands and can't get on tv", because all the people in the stands are the same folks who would be at home watching the game on tv. So, where do you want the fans? In the stands or home watching tv? Think about it.

    Glad to help,

    SEC Thurs. nights on TV

SEC / ESPN started a deal this year televising a Thursday night SEC Game of the Week. Have watched it a couple of times.
This special TV arrangement switches the traditional 3-game "weekend" series for the 2 teams to a Thurs.- Sat. format.
