Kevin has changed his strike call for the better. Not allowing good to be the enemy of great.

"Was informed from the man himself (UR Out) that Madison will be moving up to AA next year!"

It would be nearly impossible to be more precise than Madison Bumgarner was in '08. Not only did he lead the minors in ERA (1.46), but he also almost never beat himself, allowing just 21 walks, five hit batsmen and three wild pitches in 141 2/3 innings. He saved the best for last: In 10 July and August starts, he walked just seven batters and hit two others, all while not allowing a home run. This for a kid coming down the stretch in his first full pro season.

How about these stats since Madison was promoted to AA!

    Won / Lost record: 4 - 0
    ERA: 1.86
    Innings Pitched: 29.0
    Strike Outs: 29
    Walks: 8

If he keeps this up, don't be surprised if we all see him in the show before the end of the season.

Madison pitches again tomorrow night. I know they don't want to rush him, but if anyone has the maturity of being called up and getting some ML experience, it's Madison. If he continues his success, I fully expect him to be part of the 40 man squad.

He's a very unique player. I don't know anyone that could handle the pressures and challenges he faces any better

Madison will be pitching in the Futures Game this Sunday at 2 pm on ESPN 2....he has had tremendous minor league year so far in AA ball.
