Marion N.C. Flattened By Storm

It was an exciting weekend for the C.V. Storm Organization this past weekend as the 10U,12U, won their ASA Championships in the beautiful city of Marion. The weather was little cool on Sunday but at least it was dry. Thanks to the surrounding areas for their hospitality. My mistake on the 14U they won somwhere else this weekend. I also want to say that we are very proud of our girls how they supported the fight against breast cancer wearing their beautiful pink socks,and pink ribbons,and how that their goal was to win the tournament in Pope's honor. We have a classy bunch of kids. And we do thank the Piedmont Storm for their gift of love to Ashlyn...

Piedmont Storm

Hey Guru,
The Piedmont Storm won the 14/u division with hard fought championship game against the Hit-N-Run Sunday afternoon. The Piedmont Storm was a strong team with a great desire to win and with a no quit attitude. Not to mention, a great group of girls ,coaches and parents. They'll be a strong contender in the 14/u division next year and my Hit-N-Run team looks foward playing them again. Hit-N-Run fought back hard out of the losers bracket to get to the championship playing 9 games total-We just didn't have enough "energy" to get it done-losing 7 to 5 in a "SLUGFEST" of a game. Congratulations PIEDMONT STORM!

Piedmont Storm 14u also dedicated this win to Ashlyn and her Family ....I think they also gave GURU the 1st place plaque to give Ashlyn ......... Our Thoughts and Prayers are still with the Pope family and may GOD continue to heal and BLESS this family !!!!!!!!!

Thanks Byron and Piedmont Storm for dedicating your plaque to Pope. You dont know how much that means to the CVStorm family, esp to the ones who are in college now playing. Keep praying because it sure is working. Congrats again to my girls who won their tourney and sorry I wasnt able to be there, wish I was there. Great team you have Byron!

Special Moment

Piedmont Storms entire team walked their plaque over to the CV Storm Team Sunday afternoon after winning, and presented it. There were quite a few tears shed - parents, players and coaches. It was really cool to witness and to see the Softball Community come together when a member of the family is hurting.

Keep Praying for the Popes.
