    I heard about it on Saturday. Was curious about what happened. and after reading this article I am still curious...Best of luck to Fred because he is not only a good coach but a heck of a guy.

    Heard he is taking an assistant job, I believe Columbus State but could be wrong on school. Sounds like a good opportunity for Fred to develop even more for the future. Heck he will help any program! Man of his word!

    From reliable sources Fred is not going to Columbus State but is entertaining many options. Some as an assistant some as a head coach. Lets just pray that Fred gets the job he is looking for and that things all work out in the end. Hope he lands somewhere nearby so we can still talk with him every once in awhile.

    Gillum Leaving

    It is disappointing to hear that Coach Gillum is leaving. He did a really nice job of stabilizing the Mars Hill program and had recruited some very good talent last year and this year as well. MHC is not the easiest place to recruit for softball, but he certainly had the program going in the right direction. Our hats off to Coach Gillum.
