I wanted tenn. to win, but it got to the point that it was just hard to go against mowatt ! She really showed alot of toughness and no quit attitude in these games. My hats off to her.:gnorsi:

Mowatt indeed does step out of the pitching lane which is illegal. Abbott also takes that bably crow hop every time. She slides the pivot foot over then it leaves the rubber and replants almost everytime. Illegal to say the least.

    Correct!

Abbott does this a lot, particularly early in games. I have seen umpires call it in the first inning on her and then never again even though nothing changes. The ump is essentially telling the opposing coach "I see what she's doing, know that it's illegal but I'm going to ignore it so don't bother crying to me about it". Of course many coaches won't complain because most pitchers stretch the rules a bit. In fact, when I see a pitcher who is absolutely legal my first reaction is "why doesn't she use her legs?". Almost all power pitchers (those who throw 64+) are leaping. Its very difficult to throw that fast if you don't. If a girl does throw that fast without leaping they are probably going to rip something in the shoulder sooner or later.
