    It is an absolute honor to announce that Matthew Hedberg, (2011 On Deck O's/Myers Park HS), has verbally committed to Washington and Lee University. Matthew has been at On Deck for well over 5 years and has been an exceptional young man since he arrived. His drive and determination makes him successful not only on the ball field, but also in the classroom. Matthew is an Eagle Scout, a very active leader among his peers and an exceptional young man to coach. Congratulations to Matthew’s parents as well as his high coach, John Spencer. The General’s are getting a great player and a better young man.
