After hearing the reports from Coach Clark of the CC/Mauldin game sure makes this match up even more interesting. Looking forward to this game Monday night...Immediately following the Tuscola game. Hats off to Coach Clark for his aggressive scheduling.

    WP-Katie Blankenship
Katie threw a 3 hit shut-out to take the win.

The game was tied 0-0 until the bottom of the 5th when Enka's bats came alive. Autumn Searcey started it off with a single followed by singles from Kelly Grieve and Whitney Hinson. Katie Searcey and Amber Taylor both hit doubles to knock in the winning runs.

Thank you to the Mauldin team and coaches for such an exciting game.
    You have a great team!

I agree Enkamom12, both teams are fighters till the last out. Which team was going to blink first was the question. I thought it was going to happen in the top of the first when Mauldin had bases loaded with no outs and failed to score. Then Enka returned the favor in the 3rd or 4th and had bases loaded with no outs and failed to score as well.
I was glad to see Coach Clark make this trip to Enka and both teams showed a lot of class on and off the field. Sure was a great game for the fans and for both programs. Mauldin plays a tough schedule and adding Enka to that schedule just made it that much tougher. I think Mauldin goes deep in the playoffs... :xyzthumbs

I concur with everyone at this game. It was super. It even had playoff type atmosphere. Great pitching, defense and timely hitting. Enka will benefit greatly from this game in the playoffs. I hope Mauldin will too.

    Can't overlook Reynolds on Wednesday!!!!
