In general, how's Cameron's defense? I saw him misplay and drop a fly ball last weekend vs. the Yankees.

    Maybe the jitters?

Yes.....Cameron can go get it. Just needs to feel comfortable with the parks he plays in. I don't think defense is a concern from anybody in the Tiger's organization.

I saw Justin Upton drop a routine flyball.....just jitters.

Could be-his usual position is center field.
It is so exciting to watch a home town kid make the show.
He just turned 20 and has a bright future. Watching him celebrate the homerun made me realize just how young he is-he still has braces on his teeth.

    PRAYERS NEEDED

We need to pray for that young man. He is very young and he is experiencing success that kids his age aren't used to. He is also in a "grown-up" world with older MLB players. Let's pray that God puts the right players around him to lead him down the right path as he matures. He is a great person so I think he will be fine but just imagine the influence a famous MLB player that he looks up to can have on him.

That is so true. The one thing that Cameron has is great parents. His father, Rudy, is his role model. They are closer than two beans in a stalk

    HR Ball

It looked to me like CM's HR at Yankee Stadium that the ball bounced back onto the field.... Does anyone know if he got the ball?

When he got his first hit, Jeter w/o being asked tossed it to the Tiger dugout. Small thing, but the superstar still remembered the thrill of first blood.

I hate the Yankees, but Jeter is as classy as they come.
