McDowell won their season opener 3 - 0 over RS Central. The usual stuff from McDowell - Bartlett scattered 5 singles - only one error on defense. Evans may get the start against E. Rutherford.

    E. Rutherford over McDowell 5-3. Both teams made mistakes. McDowell made more!

Tarheel Titan, how did R-S look when you played them. I saw where you'll won 3 to 0...Then I saw where they blew Er away...tale of two cities?

RS is pretty solid. Their hitting can be on or off. I think they will compete pretty well in their conference. However, McDowell, RS nor E. Rutherford are as good this year as they were last year.

    Prediction when Enka plays RS...

    Enka 10 - 0. At Least!

EnkaJet, keep working hard, you ladies can definitely win it all this year with your combination of pitching and offense. I'm just afraid that with the pitching defection at Owen intrasquad scrimmages may be your toughest games of the regular season.

Right now I would put you top five in the state overall throughout the classifications. Hopewell would be #1 because of the experience of beating CC last year and also the 66 mph fastball. Butler and Forbush tied for #2 because of their pitching. Enka is definitely right there in the #4 spot. Yes I would say W. Rowan could hold down the #5 in case you were thinking "What about W. Rowan".
