    Looks like my DD is a rebel....prefers playing ball over walking across the stage. I as a parent would have liked to seen her walk across the stage with her classmates and her first cousin but Its her day not mine....right? :huh:

    Well, here I go again. I know I constantly complain about this, but I just don't understand the way the media covers local sports in the Charlotte area (boys vs girls.) What I am talking about is that the 16u Red Crushers team went to Columbus Ohio and came back the NSA World Series Champions. I did not see a thing on tv or in the papers about their accomplishments. On the other hand the Morganton Little League team is headed to the LLWS, and the media has it all over TV, especially WSOC-TV. Why is it that our girls can't ever get the recognition that I think they deserve. I know for sure that members of the media read this forum. Please.............. get real. Give these girls some press time. They work hard in their sport, and deserve better than this.
