    About slapping...

I am a pitcher and a "slapper". I find that it is quite hard, very awkward, and hurts a little bit when I try to pitch without slapping. Maybe it's jsut me and what I'm used to;I dont know.

On another note, when I was around the age of 14 or so, I began to realize that slapping my leg hurt a lot and was bruising it badly. My solution to that was to go to Dicks Sporting Goods and buy a knee brace(size XL, without a hole) and pull it all the way up to my thigh. I cut it to fit properly to the inside of the leg and problems solved!

my dd slapped her leg her whole career, her answer was to keep the same glove and tough it out. tried to get her to use a new glove, wasnt having it at all. now shes coaching and teaching others to pitch, teaches the slap as a timing thing and also teaches to not slap on occasions to throw the batter's timing off. good tool, but noticed that her leg was bruised last week as she starts to throw pitching practice for hs team.
