North also returns Seth O'Brien (04') at catcher. He split time with Drew Holby last year and should be ready to help us behind the dish and at the plate. He handled the staff fulltime as a sophmore (Jason Duncan, Gib Hobson, Andrew Larrimore, Bryan Bowles; all D-1 players), so he has experience. Chris Reich will be back as a senior pitcher. He had success last year when he got the chance to pitch behind one of the best staffs in the state. Both of these guys played showcase ball this summer for Bill Capps.

DJ has always pitched for me in the summer when needed. He grew pitching as all stud little leaguers do. We knew he would throw for North eventually, after Gib, Jason, Andrew, Bryan, and Joe went on, but i didn't know he would bring the best outfield arm around to the bump and transfer it to a 90 mph fastball. Thats not always the case with great arms. And to be honest, he may not "pitch" at 90, more like 86-87, but he will be ready to tote some innings for the vikings.

    Yuppers..

North, West, Parkland, Glenn, Mount, and East all have fine traditions especially dating back to the mid 90's. They have some outstanding baseball talent and the CPC is as tough a conference as any arguably...:)
