    Rebecca Hill and Megan Walker (catcher)both hit the ball a TON.
    Solid defense and above all a class act with good attitudes for the lady Vikings!!!

    All Char-Meck MS's that I've been to have a separate softball field. But our games start at 4:45, some fields have no lights & rules state that play must be suspended at dusk. Makes no sense to me, but then neither do the school boundaries, who can figure out that wacky school board? :banginghe

    I believe one reason MS ball is played in the fall is so the season coincides with the voleyball season. Both sports play games at the same time/schools, so the teams share a bus, which reduces transportation cost.

    Our games were scheduled to start today, but obviously were cancelled due to rain.

    does that create a conflict with girls that may want to play both softball & volleyball in the fall?; assuming they don't play both.

    Thanks! I've been lurking for a while, but haven't had anything to add before now. And Community House MS. They will struggle this season as there is no 8th grade class there this year. But, we do have 5 strong TB players on the team, so I think they'll still do ok.

    Regarding the conflict between softball & volleyball, my daughter would have loved to try something different, but her heart belongs to softball, so it's all good.
