    3' difference

3' may make a difference on the junkball pitcher or pitchers that may not have the real good fastball.

Talked to our AD yesterday and he has confirmed that we will be moving to 43'. We are also on a first year 14U TB team. We have only played 40', until this past weekend where we entered a tournament at 43'. We didn't really notice a big difference in our pitchers. I just want to condition my daughter over the winter at whatever she will be throwing in Middle School. So it looks like it will be 43'.

    Not in Wake County

Spoke with the AD at the middle school where I help coach. We are staying at 40' and there has been no talk to move to 43'.

    just like high school

It will give the advantage to the hitter. We saw this last year in high school. It does give the batter longer to look at the ball. But I guess the pitchers will have to move in high school. Give them sometime before having the extra pressure of throughing from 43.

New Hanover County made the switch the same time that the high schools did.
