Thanks for the update, I watched Dakota pitch in a travel ball tourney last year at McDowell and was impressed with her then.I know the knee injury was devasting to her and her mom at the time so Im so glad to see her back in top form. The future looks bright for East Burke when her,Kayla and the rest of this group of ladies move up. By then Holly Hudson will have some experence under her belt and will be another tough pitcher. Good luck to you on Wednesday.

I have a lot of friends at Iredell and have to say that I sincerely hope the powers that be in Iredell county takes note of the value and importance that middle school ball has on these girls. It's a shame that the talent is overlooked and they arent given the same respect as the other middle school sports there. Times are a changin..they need to change with it for the sake of the sport. Congrads to all.

Mill Creek defeated NC 10-0. Congrats to Katie Carpenter for pitching great against the Red Devils! Kaylee Punch, Taylor Sigmon, Katie Carpenter, and Kelsea Clark all had good hits for Mill Creek. Great team! Look out Bandys next year.....lots of talent coming up!:tank: :driving:

Jacobs Fork defeated River Bend today 3-2. Very good game. Kendall Settlemyre led the Jags in hitting going 4-4 with a triple, double, and 2 singles. Savannah Burns made the play of the game in the last inning getting a great out at 3rd to end the game. The runner was the tying run. River Bend has a very good team and is really well coached. On too Grandview Thursday. Jags record 8-2.

EBMS beat East McDowell Jr. High...7-6

The EB Lady Raiders won a hard fought for victory today against East McDowell. Great at bat from the EBMS girls with Dakota, Presley, Jackie, Danie, Katie, Amber G. Alicia, Kayla and a productive bunt by Tiffany. The bottom of the 7th was intense with two outs for EM with the tieing run on base. The batter bunted and catcher, Jackie was quick on her feet, catching the game winning ball. Pitcher, Kayla Shelton had 13 strikeouts. The score was 7-6 in favor of the Lady Raiders increasing their season to 8 and 1. EBMS faces Table Rock tommorow at EBMS....Go Lady Raiders!!!

I got to see this game today and it was a great one to catch. E Mcd fought hard but were a little short. E. Burke looked good. Lots of good hitters and defense was good. Nice job by the pitcher, shes got the speed. Nice play by your catcher. Look forward to seeing yall at the tourny.

folks, we're forgetting a very valuable team in this equation. What about West Mcdowell? They've had a very good season.. they've split with East Burke, split with Liberty [which hurt them], and have already beaten East Mcdowell the first time around, and will play the second one tomorrow at 3:00. If west sweeps east, west will be one game behind east burke.

Has East Burke played Liberty and East Mcdowell both twice? If so, What were those results?

Good luck to everyone! It's a close season this year!
