    North Middle- 4

    Emily Riddle pitched well for the North scattering 5 hits and walking only 2. 3 HUGE, HUGE errors done in the Bears.

    Bats finally came Alive with Riddle and Kaci Williams having 2 hits apiece. Coach won't get much sleep tonight thinking about 1 that got away.

    stickwolf, i m sorry to hear about the tough loss, hope it didn`t keep you up all night. hope to see ya today @ central park! should be 2 good games and we are looking for a big turn out! the park will be rocking!!!! good luck in your next game!

    West Wilkes Middle School

    Down here in Wilkes County middle school ball started last Tuesday. West Middle has 2 undefeated seasons and started out this season with an 15-4 victory over East Wilkes. Also West Middle pitcher, Taylor Parker started off the season strong with 7 strike outs and hitting a homerun and a triple.

    Taylor Parker is a 7th grader. She pitches for the Orange Crush 14u in travel ball. There's also another pitcher for West Erin Shepherd. Lots of speed a little wild though. When she gets her control she's going to be tough. But West Middle has more than just pitching too. Their defense is pretty solid and the girls hitting is outstanding.

    its wonderful working and watching this age group.....soon much development going on. hearing about and seeing them in action is "down right fun", as well!

    Leading Hitters- L. Gore 4-5 (HR), J. Wakefield 3-4 (3 RBI's), Holly Jones, Tranea Jones, Carson Hefner all with 2 hits.
