CFBall, how long you been watching Riverwood games? My DD pitched against them at Riverwood for McGees in spring of 2004, and pitched a no-hitter. It was the last game of season & her last MS game. McGees finished 6-6 that first year of the school's existence, which was a nice accomplishment.

two years now, oldest DD teaches and is the assistant coach. She also said that McGees and Cleveland were the favorites but believes they can make some noise this year. Katie Watkins is a good pitcher and Lindsay??(forgive me for not remembering) is too.

    West Middle

West Middle won again tonight defeating Piney Creek 10-0. Taylor Parker only allowed one hit which was a blooper over first bases head that second base just couldn't reach. Erin Shepherd and Anna Blackburn both hit a double. Second string started this game and did an outstanding job of keeping the lead. Made some great plays to keep Piney Creek from scoring. Anna Blackburn picked a runner off at first and threw a runner out attempting to steal second.

    West Wilkes Middle 12
    North Wilkes Middle 2

Pitcher for West Middle Erin Shepherd
Taylor Parker hit another homerun but this was inside the park, no errors on the play.
Haley Cardwell and Anna Blackburn turned a double play. Ball was thrown home and Haley tagged the girl out and then threw to Anna at third and tagged the girl out trying to steal there. Great plays by both girls.
