    Lakeshore is handed their first loss of the year

    Emily Riddle Pitched the win for North striking out 10 while walking 3.

    Leading hitters for North were Elizabeth Johnson with 2 hits, Elisha Clutter with a triple, Mallia Harrington, Amanda East, Winnie Feimister and Amy Shelton had singles.

    Also Some great OF play by Rena McKay.

    Great win Girls, Bears Go 5-2 on the year

    Some really good middle school softball. These teams have a rematch on 5/2 and both are already looking forward to it.

    Central Wilkes and West Wilkes

    2 undefeated teams played tonight Central Wilkes Middle and West Wilkes Middle. West Wilkes came out on top with a 13-2 victory. The game was a lot better than the score though. Central took the lead 1-0 in the first inning and held on to the lead till the third. In the top of the third west took the lead 2-1 and then in the bottom of the third Central Middle tied the game back up. West finally started to get their hits together and tacked on runs in the 4th and 5th. Then just broke loose in the 6th and 7th and scored the final 8. Danielle Handy pitched a great game for Central Middle, but Taylor Parker for West Middle took the win. Haley Cardwell hit tremendously tonight hitting two doubles and a triple. Anna Blackburn and Erin Shepherd hit the ball hard tonight also. Megan Johnson put down a great bunt forcing a bad throw and reaching first safely then stepping up to the plate with bases loaded and hitting the ball to right field for a 2 run RBI single. Very dominating pitching tonight by both teams. Central Middle lost due to errors in the field and clutch hitting by West Middle to take advantage of the mistakes. Will be a great rematch after spring break.

    Battle for first place. The icon says it all. Couldn't throw strikes, Couldn't catch the thrid strikes when we did. Comedy of Errors. Somedays you wonder if a practice has ever been called.


    Brandy Benge and Rena McKay had hits for North. Amy Shelton had a 2 run homer. Looks like we're playing for pride now.

    Arndt was trailing 1-0 and then in the bottom of the 4th scored 5 runs to take a 5-1 lead and held on from there. Good ball game.
