    7th and 8th graders

    Arndt has 17 players on its roster. 12 are 8th graders and 5 7th graders.

    It had been a good 2 year ride, should have a down year next year (rebuilding year). Their is some good players coming up.

    I was just wondering because I know some of the girls who are playing for the Hit-Run 14U. That is good to hear because we have more 7th graders than 8th graders for next year. I guess the streak will end next year. I know the streak will end next year. Just like basketball we had more 7th than 8th and won the conf. it will be the same next year. I do say great job Arndt for 2 years without one lost. That is room to brag. Can't wait to see you guys in HS should be fun.

    It looks like there will continue to be alot of battles to come in the next 5 years in High School and Travel Ball. Alot of good players in Catawba County and I'm looking forward to it all. Lets just stay healthy, good luck and God Speed. Coach Joe

    West Wilkes Middle

    West Wilkes Middle had their 6th win of the season defeating Central Middle again today. Now the lady knights are 30-0 for the past 2 season have been undefeated and well on their way this year. Erin Shepherd was on the mound today and had 14 strikes outs and only allowing 4 hits. So far West is the only team to beat Central Wilkes Middle this year. Haley Cardwell added 2 more doubles to her record and Anna Blackburn added 1 more to hers. West Wilkes has a lot of talent moving up in the next couple years.

    great bunch of kids who love softball and dedicated coaches who work hard for them yearround.
