Our team played at Winthrop Friday and Saturday. Our last game was Saturday at 5:30pm. At that point someone decided to pick up our jugs pop up net.

I would hate to think that someone stole it, just maybe picked it up by mistake. With all the equipment people have laying around, why a pop up net? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I am sorry to hear about this. We also left a popup at Cherry Park Field 2 on Saturday. Went back Sunday morning and it was not on the field. I asked one of the coaches on field 1 (1st baseside first game of the day) if the net leaning against the fence was his or if he found it. He said that it was his net. I certainly hope so. If not, karma will always catch up.

    Equipment

Over all the years I've been around TB I never remember anything being stolen. I think that says a lot about our sport. Not saying it never happens but I bet it's rare. Of course, equipment does get mixed up sometimes I'm sure.

I believe it would be a good idea to write return information on the equipment, like cell numbers, team name, etc.

You might not want to put the team name on there if you're one of the teams that dominate the tournaments, though. Someone might consider your equipment a souvenir trophy!! jk

We also "misplaced" a pop up net last year during the douwnpour at the MC. Played on Cherry 1, moved to Cherry2 for immediate game following, went back to field 1 right after and the net was gone. Tried for a week to get any info on lost and found, but to no avail. Wow- where do all the lost nets go? To net heaven?

    For Sale!

I have six pop up nets for sale. Some are in better shape than others.
Willing to make a deal, I'm in a bind, and way behind....
    Just kidding:pokestick:
Last year at PONY Nationals Triangle Lightning left thiers behind. Fortunately for them they had thier name on it, in big black permanent marker. Its too late now but, next net put your name on it, and the bag. It might not walk away next time. Sorry for your loss.

    Twinpower,

That was our team, Sandhill Storm, on field one Sunday morning and yes you did ask one of our coaches if it was your net. I promise you that it was the same net that was pulled out of my car, put on my wagon and brought to this field on Sunday morning.

You are right, karma will catch up with whoever took it. You may want to check with Chuck Laney as he was the site director.

Thanks StormFan. I am sure you can understand the frusteration :cussing:, especially after seeing all of the threads about lost or missing pop-ups at the Mighty Casey.
