    Hopewell vs Vance

    Hopewell won over Vance 23-3 in 6 innings. Winning pitcher was Cruse.

    North Gaston 0

    Michael Bogaert, so. rhp, threw 1st no-hitter for Ashbrook since Wes Helms threw one in 1994 in the state playoffs. Bogaert, who normally plays 1st base, is now 3-0 on the season.

    East Lincoln 5

    Wes McCall picked up win #7 (7-1).

    Next game is Friday @ South Point. We'll see if Ashbrook can recover from the a**whooping they took from South Point in the Observer Easter Tournament last week. South Point is on a roll having just defeated East Gaston 4-2 on Wednesday. South Point now stands at 5-2 and is a game behind Ashbrook 6-1 in the Big South 3A.
