    Ethan Icard who went to East Burke high school and now plays at wilks cc was drafted by the Braves in the 25th round.

    Good store this kid did not play his soph. year worked very hard the next 3 years and now has the opertunity to do what all kids dream of doing.

    Congrats to a great kid keep up the good work.

    Surprise, surprise: the White Sox picked another toolsy outfielder in Rocky Mount (N.C.) High’s Brian Goodwin. But, as it may turn out, their 17th-round selection may end up being better than their first rounder, Jared Mitchell. Goodwin didn’t have a knockout spring and scared teams off when he chose Scott Boras Corp. as his advisers. Don’t be surprised if he ends up patrolling center field for the Tar Heels next season.

    +1. I'm a Cubs fan and I hate the White Sox enough as it is. If they wind up throwing 2nd or 3rd round money at Goodwin after picking him in the 17th round, my dislike for them is going to escalate even more. Getting Goodwin on campus in Chapel Hill would be huge for the Heels.
