Oh, I know he's a good kid. I live in Stokes County. I've seen Ackley play since he was younger. I've seen God knows how many West/South games with both those guys on the team. You still have to put in that unknown factor of moving away from home for the first time. Some of the greatest kids in high school fall into the wrong stuff when they graduate. If he can keep everything together, which will more than likely happen, he'll be special.

hope NCSU can get some of 'em...... seems they really need some better ones than they have now.

Yeah, and if little brother signs, he may even put big brother on his payroll.

Addison Johnson and Dustin Ackley have great futures in baseball. They are outstanding players. Even more so, they are incredible young men. I hope both of them make it to the Big Show.

A guy that we NC posters don't hear about much is Jason Place. I believe out of Easly SC. I saw him with the War hawks when we played them in Jupiter last fall. Bard got the win with only a couple three hits and Place had all of them. What is his story.

    Place

Baseball America lists him as one of a handful of "others to watch" after the first 30 prospects they rank for tomorrow's draft. I suppose that would make him a likely supplemental or second round pick.

I also saw a mock draft that listed Archer, White, and Morris all as picks in the top 90 or so--though I know White and Morris have signed to play college already at high DI majors so they may not go pro.

I have to believe that Derrick Lowry (LHP-Scotland Cty) made himself alot of money last Saturday.

    future major leaguers!

good job on all the posts, but remember the request was to predict future major league players, not just draftees or minor league hopefuls.

of course we all know maybin will make it to the majors but i think his TCR Teammate, Rising Senior Justin Jackson has a good shot as well. Justin has been selected to play in the AFLAC All-American Classic and will play for the Midland Redskins again this summer also justin has an invitation to trials for the USA Baseball Junior National team. He hit .478 and a Western North Carolina-best 12 home runs. He also drove in 33 runs and stole 20 bases for the Rams. This kid is very good as for sure has some major league potential much like cameron.

OK now im going to talk about justin's teammate Josh Thrillkill. What is it with him. I have seen him play quite a few games and i really dont understand what all the talk is about. He is a good player but i have seen so many better HS pitchers than him. I just dont see anything special
