    Burns vs. Crest

Burns beat crest 84-63. Sophomore Brandon Whitworth had 20, Freshman Brandon Littlejohn had 16 and Seniors Josh Ross and Monterio Merriweather had 14 each. The Burns Bulldogs are really young but full of tallent. They have a tough non-conference schedule with McDowell, Freedom, Ashbrook, and East Gaston, so they'll probably start off a little slow (record-wise), but the conference is weak so I look forward for a good conference year. Of course Shelby will definately be the team to beat.

    Monday's scores

A friend of mine from Hickory was scouting the AC and Starmount game and said Hargrave had 21 at the half and only played 3 minutes in the third quarter because it was a blowout. He ended up with 25 points and 10 rebounds.

Starmount is without 3 starters and quite a few other players b/c they are still playing football...(Rasahun Gaither, Jake Barr, Antonio Mccleand, Christian Hurt, Shane Bryant)...
