How about a double play, strike out - throw out at second!

I don't know about "THE" most exiciting play in baseball but an assist from the right fielder to third or home gets me up out of my seat. Three years ago the team I had won our first game of the state tournament 1-0 and in that game our right fielder threw out a man at third and a man out at home. In that game those outs were huge.

the most exciting play i've ever seen was kirk gibson's pinch-hit home run to win game 1 of the 1988(?) world series.

bottom of the 9th, two outs, a man on, down 1, full count. the close-out ace of the year facing a hobbled power-hitter. damn. i suppose it helps that i'm from los angeles. but still, that was awesome. and i generally don't like baseball.

    the play at the plate.

Sid Bream sliding under the tag at the plate in the ninth inning of the seventh gane to send the Braves to the World Series.

It doesn't get any more exciting than that

Sid killed the Pirates in '91 with that slide ..... marked the beginning of the Braves's run ......

yeah, i think it was 88. the dodgers went on to crush the A's who were the absolute dominant team of the day. i think they took the series 4-0.
