I was going to let this go. However, I have a real immature side. I guess you missed my point. Their comments are very flattering toward Eric and very well deserved. Unfortunately one coach is portraying himself as a talent scout and the other as a fortune teller. My point is that we have a very talented team and if Eric isn’t scoring, someone else would be. They may not do it as effortlessly, but they would be doing it. I’m starting to get sick of hearing myself talk about this. No matter how much bellyaching that I do, it won’t change anyone’s perception. I’m fine with that.

I'm so glad to clarified your posts and I couldn't agree with you more, Indy! Someone has to block, someone has to throw, someone has to play defense, someone has to punt and kick, etc... This is a terrific TEAM. While Eric is undoubtedly very special, he will also be the first to tell you there are other very talented athletes busting their tails right along with him helping the TEAM to win. We deserve to be where we are today because of the dedication and hard work EACH athlete and coach has put in to make this TEAM successful!

Go Pioneers and everyone come out and wear WHITE!

Indy, I understand where you are coming from and I can see getting upset with Purnell's coach's comments. I think he was trying to compliment Eric, but dissed the team at the same time. I disagree with your including the CC coach in your comments. I think you need to sit back and take a look at your comments earlier when you said Watauga may not wow people with their size or speed, but they flat get after you. That's pretty much the same thing the CC coach was saying. Being from Boone, I took it as a compliment to the coaching staff at Watauga. Coach Snow and his staff have done a great job of getting the most out of these guys. The guys are busting their tail in the offseason and it's paying dividends now. And for everyone that thinks the success for Watauga will end after EB graduates, you might be in for a surprise at some of those younger guys.

    Baine Martin.
    Jake Wallace.
    Devan Corum.
    Cam Steury.
    Dennis McMenamin.
    Logan Smith.
    Tanner Wilson.
    Travis Oliver.
    Baker Stanley.
    Ryan Campbell.
    Shawn Jenson.

We're losing Eric sure...but we have a very talented group of young kids who LIVE to outwork people.

Ask South Caldwell about Jake Wallace
Ask AC Reynolds about Baine Martin
Ask Alexander Central about Cam Steury
Ask Terrance Kincaid about David Alger and Grady McKinney

This is no one man show, and Breitenstein will be the first to tell you that!

Where White, Be Loud, Go Watauga!

Watauga has a great football TEAM. EB is a great player and does alot for them, but he has other players that contribute as well. Tabor will have their hands full with the whole team and EB will be an even bigger problem. The word is Tabor is up to 7 charter buses for the game. 2 for the team, 2 for the band and cheerleaders, and 3 for fans. They seem to be bringing a big crowd and this is going to be a great game. We are getting closer to game time. I hope everyone has a safe trip and I am still picking Tabor to win 28-21 in a very hard fought game.

dont ask kincaid about anyone except reynolds bc they are the only ones that stopped him.
    - i think that the coaches who wrote those things felt like alot of people that play watauga. they arent flashy like the charlotte teams and and eastern teams but the do what is most important in the playoffs they win. i aint got no beef guys just trying to look at both sides. again goodluck tonight fellas take the nw4a to the title game

what matters is that us watauga fans know what type of players we have, they work hard and we got kids that have speed and can run, what we dont do is show boat we score we give the ball to the ref and go on to the next play,we are a TEAM not this stuff me me the team comes 1st for eric and the rest have followed him.so i dont care what they think of us down the mtn or the east coast,i would rather have a real team that plays as one.we will let them think what they want to we will keep beating teams and doing what we do thats play hard for eachother and doing it the right way.

dont forget about the pitts kid that a soph this year on the line, caleb watson baker stanly are freshman that can play some ball, i really think watauga days of winning 2-4 games a year are over,we might not win conference every year but we can be in the top 3 year in and out and alot of young guys from the jv on this playoff run,and have played some in the games in the playoffs, snow has turned watauga footbal around and he has a player that was at watauga at the right time in eric b will have a big part of wataugs teams for years to come in that he is the kid that said we can and will win at watauga.
