Have the answer. I used them all when I ate a jalapeno sub purchased at a Texas 7-11 in July of '91 (Performed by a professional fool. Do not attempt this at home or when sign says "Next rest area 86 miles!!!"
The goggles - so I could see. I passed a literal fog. You left out the surgical mask!
Gloves - Well, you have to clean up somehow
Screwdrivers - Had to tighten the lid on those crome handle bars in the handicap bathroom. Pulled em loose both horizontally and vertically.
Rake - Just for the cores. Took way more than 1 roll
Level - Had to continually check on which way was up. Lost sight of the horizon more than once. Note: Fixed toilets do not "rock" well
Lawn mower - Gotta use somethin' to cut through the crap!!!!!:nono:

Oh, this is so obvious! They are all tools a coach's WIFE needs to keep the lawn at home looking half as good as the shrine/sanctuary - aka the baseball field. Of course, the level is used as a hammer when the screwdrivers don't get the screws back in the lawnmower quite the same way they came out. Work gloves, rake, lawnmower - we all know how to use those items. And the scuba goggles are not only for safety, but also for disguise so the parents don't know who the coach's wife is at the game! (Make sure you know who you're sitting next to!!!) I disagree with the sharp implements, though - how else do I get his attention from Feb 14 - whenever????

These tools are all that's required to umpire youth baseball tournaments-no skill required.

Goggles are just to let everyone know from the git go that you can't see worth a flip.
Work gloves are just a little more padding when the catcher lets one through after another blown call. Kids these days-no respect.
Screw drivers are now being used as ear plugs to screen out verbal abuse from parents. For whatever reason, the Phillips head is more effective than the flat head. Now when somebody accuses an ump of having some screws loose, he can respond with, " Yea, I know but I'm working on it."
The rake and level are for resetting those pesky portable mounds.
Life was so much easier when it was just 46 or 60'6 and kids wern't playing for trophys every weekend.
The lawn mower is a bad umpire's best friend. Call it a poor man's body guard if you will. Just crank that sucker up after a bad game and head out to the car and watch the sea of irate fans part.
No sharp objects needed cause after all it's just a game, right ?
