    For 2008:
16U/18U "A" or "Gold" teams are required to sanction using "individual registration" with picture ID cards. This carries the Bollinger Insurance and covers ASA Registration. The cost for 2008 remains $15.00 per player.

10U/12U/14U "A" or "B" teams can still use our team registration of $30.00 or our lastest individual registration program below.

New for 2008: teams that wish to play "local tournaments only" may register individually as "B" teams without picture ID cards and still receive the same benefits. Here's the best news!!! Insurance and ASA registration comes with this for the low cost of $8.00 per kid.

Example: 12 kids and one coach = $104.00...Great price huh!!!
***FYI: if team plans to play ASA Championship play, ie. ASA Nationals, picture ID cards will be required to attend those tournaments.***

Individual registration for 2008 is now available online at www.registerasa.com or www.fastpitchsoftball.net

Another benefit of individual registration is the online "official ASA" roster/waiver form can be printed off with all information already on it. Saves time!

cardcoach, does this insurance cross over to say teams that want to play ASA, NSA and USSSA????

I think the picture ID's are a great idea...

    Yes

Cheeze- yes, this insurance will cover all sanctions.

Also, for those teams that plan to play the Regional Nationals (eastern is in Salem, VA) or the "A" National (various locations) or Gold in Oklahoma City, it is it is more cost effective to register ASA before you register with any other group.

This way you will not have to purchase any more insurance when you register somewhere else. You will already have it with your ASA registration.

All other teams can benefit as well from registering ASA first as it will give you more options and possibly save you some money.

If I am not mistaken, North Carolina teams cannot play in the Eastern Nationals. They must play in the Southern Nationals. I had to check into this for a team last year that wanted to be able to play the Eastern but they would not let them in and said they had to play in the Southern Nationals. Seems over the past few years the Eastern has been always much closer to the Carolinas than the Southern Nationals though.

    Rule change for 2008

ASA adopted a new rule for 2008 allowing teams to attend the closest National tournament. This was submitted and voted on at the ASA National Meeting in Nov.
