    Does anyone know where in Morganton this tournament will be played? Who are the teams in it??

    the tournament is at Shuey Park

    Shuey Park
    two lighted 270 foot softball fields, one lighted 350 American Legion field, soccer and football fields, championship horseshoe pitching courts, field house with concessions and rest rooms, press box
    70 W By-pass to Golf Course Road

    Thanks EnkaJet. Now does anyone know what teams are going to be there?? I noticed that most of the NC teams are in the NSA State Tournament. The On-Deck Lady O's are one team entered.

    Wonder why the good 18U teams would rather play in the NSA state instead of the ASA State and play against the Cardinals, Lady Blues, Crusher Red teams?

    Cardinals (Ray) usually play ASA only....much the same with the blues...sometimes your schedule is based upon what you want to play down the road. Pride and Explosion are playing the NSA State because they are playing in the world series in Charlotte...you have to play in two tournaments in which one of them has to be the state tournament to play in the world series...

    Its a Shame

    One word............Marketing............. NC ASA does a LOUSY job promoting Girls fastpitch in this state.

    Yea you are right. I forgot that you do have to play in the NSA State to play in the World Series.

    I would have loved to see the Pride and Explosion along with teams like Carolina Curve, Challengers, along with the Cardinals (Ray) Lady Blues, Crushers Red, On-Deck Lady O's compete for the NC ASA title!! Now that would be a great one.
