Here are Easter Tournaments our area that I know of... I am researching the number of Varsity vs JV Tournaments and where they are located. I would like a state wide list, if one could be developed.

Tournaments In my area or that I am familiar with:

    Varsity:
    Graham Easter Tournament
    Bobby Murray Tournament (Raleigh)
    Rocky Mount Easter Tournament
    South Johnston Easter Tournament
    Hilltop Tournament (Chapel Hill)
Tournament at Jordan Mathews (Siler City)
    Greenville Hot Stove Tournament
    Lee County Easter Tournament

    JV:
Rocket JV Challenge (Person High School)
Nash County Tournament (Nash Co. / Rocky Mount JV teams)

Here is the problem that South Meck and many other teams face. If they play in an Easter tournament that is set up with a championship game and...they play a team in their conference. The game counts towards their record. That's why they are bowing out of the Shelby Tournament. They will be playing in the Jack Sink Tourney where the games are meaningless as far as W/L record and they will get a chance to play the younger guys to help their experience.

Tournament games should not count towards Conference Records, just overall records.

Is that a conference rule? We played conference teams in the past but we only counted scheduled conference games for Conference standings. Tournament games should only count as nonconference games, unless they are Conference Tournamwnt games used for teh state playoffs.

West Brunswick holds an Easter tournament in Shallote. They have 4 locals & then invite 4 others.

Last year North Davidson played St Ignatius (ranked 3rd in 5A in Ohio) in the finals. It's a super tournament because the kids get to play on the beach.
