Heard last night there will be no Hot Stove this year. Several regulars who attend apparently chose to try there luck else where.

 

The reason people are leaving the Hot Stove Tourney is because they are tired of putting up with JH Rose's and the Hot Stove people's crap. Just like last year the lights were going out and times were messed up and teams had to play each other in back to back days because teams were leaving. Teams were not even sticking around for the end of the Tourney. It was a joke. People go to that Tourney to play different teams and see quality baseball but it sure was lacking last year from lack of participation and a lack of being prepared. Most of the teams are going to the tourney being played at Lenoir CC and Kinston High and Kinston Indians Minor League Park.

 

Hmmmmmmmmmm, sounds like a certain group in Atlanta.

 

To be honest we are a team from North Carolina that has attended the Hot Stove Tourney for 4 years in a row. It was great 4 years ago and up till last year. But teams started leaving because they were tired of getting the run around about stuff. I was a firm believer in the Hot Stove but not now. I hope that the Tourney in Kinston will be a great success with teams like DH Connely, South Central, Watauga, Green Central, Kinston, and etc.
