Whats going on with NC ihigh.com? It used to be a great source of information for high school sports. Now, most stuff is way out of date.

    NO FUNDING

Have been told by I-High that due to no funding, the record book will stay as is until the money is found. This is really lame, the girls that earned their place in the record book will have to wait until funding is found. Perhaps its time that the coaches association takes over this job also. What do ya think POP's??????? :cussing:

If NC ihigh has no funding and isn't doing the job, they should redesign their website to include only what they are capable of doing. At this point that seems to be the posting of newspaper articles. Their NCHSAA "partner" should cut them loose if they aren't going to maintain the recordbook. The recordbook is something that needs to be accessible for all sports.

    Record Book and Ihigh

The record book is the responsibility of the NCHSAA and Rick Strunk. If the NCHSAA were to approach the NCFSCA about being the go-between as ihigh was, I personally believe the Executive Board would be in favor of doing just that. However, that would need to be brought before the Board and maybe to the voting membership before we committed ourselves to that project. I wonder about the term "funding" coming up every time something is not done. I guess the people at ihigh must pay people to do the legwork. The Coaches Association right now has a dedicated group of people who are working every day to promote our sport in the State. It would add a little more work to our schedule, but if it means helping out the girls and bringing them recognition, then I would be for it!!

nah, my daughter and half of the girls who've played for me are either studying to be nurses or doctors, got that covered. don't want to make anyone mad at i-high, but if ya cant do a job as important as this, ask for help or send it to someone who will do the job, don't ya think??

    Record Book

Why does the NCHSAA not make the record book accessible directly from their website. It seems a bit dumb that they don't (or won't). They are the keeper of the keys for high school sports. All records submitted are processed through them. It should take very little effort on their part to attach the record book to their website.

Letting the softball coaches association take care of it is a good idea, but the problem is not limited to softball. All sports are in the same situation.
