Speaking of UNCG......Anyone remember Nick Starnes from Graham? I think he was drafted 3 years ago by the Braves in the 3-6 round range. Never really took off at UNCG...I think he may have injured himself. I saw where he pitched a fair amount this year, but his stats are not good. Good argument of why you should take the opportunity when drafted that high.

You cant really have a lotta love for a transplant - but I know this scruffy dude is proud to have Huntersville, NC as his official residence.

    #505 - 16th round - Darin Mastroianni - Toronto Blue Jays.

    And that is that.

Wow Paul...what a journey Darin has been on. I know your proud; your chest should be a little bigger and you should have grown a couple of more inches. That's just wonderful news. Congratulations to Darin and to a great baseball family. By the way, Kyle is being raised in the south and I bet his accent is a little different than it was 4 years ago, so you are now qualified to be a Southerner.

It's kind of neat that former roommates, Goose and Darin, were both drafted. They both achieved one of their dreams.
