I think we play tag at your house on the 21st.

Little Pops was doing the same thing the last game....

We've been fortunate ... It's a very young team, but I know Braves will acuse me of sand-bagging. We need a few more weeks before we can tell how steady the team is going to be.

There is some talent. I got to talk to Randy (Brad's Dad) at the last game. Hopefully we can meet on Wednesday.

    Hey 'troll

I'm not sure ... Wifey saw it written in the concession stand that there will be a game this Wednesday but it's up here ...

We haven't heard a peep from the coaches yet (or our player forgot..... d'oh)

If you hear anything, let me know!!!

    Observations of the rankings:

I see that Andy has been reading my posts, placing MP and North Meck in his Top 10, but what happened to Providence. They should be before any other team in SW4A at this time.

I wonder if SM loses another game if they can bump up to the top spot :)

But what has made Ol' Braves happy about reading these rankings is that Impact Baseball has ranked my alma mater in SC #3 in the state in their classification......way to go Falcons!!!!

I agree for the most part.

    Providence needs to be there.
    McDowell is well deserved.
West Rowan needs to be in the top 10 in 3A.
South Meck is where it belongs .. in the top 2.
North is over-rated, not enough experience.
I'm surprised that Richmond is still up there with 2 quick losses.

With Tuscola, Franklin & TC Roberson all ranked in the MAC, that looks to be a very tough conference.

The Baseball America/ BCA Poll corrected that oversight..

They have South Meck #3, Providence #4....

    About polls

The great thing about polls is that they don't mean anything and everyone hates something about them. It stirs the passions. Impact only reports the top 10 per their voting, not everyone who may have gotten a vote.

The NCHSBCA/BA Poll also came out today. As is normal, everyone is looking at something a little different and it's impossible to see everyone, especially against good competition.

There are SOME differences between the two polls but generally, they recognize the same programs.

The NCHSBCA/BA poll is voted on by the High School Baseball Coaches Association members and reports on everyone receiving any votes.

West Forsyth did not receive any votes. North Forsyth would have been 11th in that poll. Using the logic you mentioned (about none of them being on any of the Impact teams), I guess none of them played high school ball either.

    Hello,

To be clear, Impact Baseball does NOT rank South Carolina high school teams. The polls we post for SC are the SC Coaches Polls.

As far as the NC Team polls, we do not go strickly on a team's record. Actually, records mean very little at this point in the season. We try to rank who we feel are the best "teams."

Team Polls are just "good reading" aren't they? Top 10 Polls can only please 10 teams in each classification...

FYI: "Braves" Randleman (2A) just beat Providence (4A) who you thought should be over everyone else in SW4A.
