    Man, I would sure hope so. The temperature last summer never got under 100 If I remember correctly. Even the night games hovered around 100.

    Rowan 9 Wayne 1--Final

    Rowan 9 19 1
    Wayne 1 4 1

    Justin Roland 4 hits, Austin Shull 4 hits; Billy Veal 3 hits; Trey Holmes 2 rbis, Noah Holmes HR 4 rbi's.

    Tanner Brown (W 8-2) 7 IP, 4 hits, 1 ER (solo HR)
    Matt Hall 1 IP, 0 hits, 0 ER
    Russell Michealac 1 IP, 0 hits, 0 ER

    Best pitching effort of the year for Rowan. Not bad for a team who entered the tourney with an ERA of almost 6.00;

    Micheal Douglas took the loss for Wayne 5 2/3 IP 9 hits 5 ER;

    Tough deal for Wayne having to play another 12:30 game tomorrow. They will play the loser of Hope Mills vs Gastonia; EDIT---This may be different, because TJ has something different at the beginning of the thread.

    Rowan with play at night against the winner of the same game.

    There was a good crowd for the 12:30 game today. Wayne didn't bring too many folks, but that's understandable with the time and the distance.

    Nobody from the east is going to bring many fans even considering the distance. Not as much interest.

    I'd say the day thus far has gone pretty much as I had it scripted. No suprises yet.

    I don't have a dog in the fight and I would be there if it wasn't for work. Family vacation starts Saturday and I need some money for the gas-trip down.

    Out of the east, you're right though. Post 10 and Post 11 used to have good followings. Garner would bring a crowd, but I'm not sure how they will travel without Coach Barbour. Nobody in the Raleigh area has really ever traveled well. :34: That's about it.
