    Rowan eliminated, Cherryville moves into 1pm game on Saturday.

    Randolph up 9-1 over Clayton after 5 innings...

    NOTE: If Randolph holds onto this lead, state championship game will be between Cherryville and Randolph tomorrow (Sat) at 1pm, unless Cherryville gives Randolph their 1st loss, at which time a 2nd game will begin approx. 30 minutes after 1st game.

    (Just making a point, I realize Clayton still has 4 more innings to do something in tonights game)

    Final score (7 innings) Randolph County 13-2 over Clayton.

    Congrats to both Clayton and Rowan County for having great seasons.

    Championship game tomorrow at 1pm, Cherryville must beat Randolph twice.

    Thank you tj21, it was nice speaking to you a couple times this season. My Rowan boys have nothing to be ashamed of, we had a great season and even proved some doubters wrong along the way. It's hard to believe that this team made it further than last year's team did. That team had very deep pitching. I think this year's team was better in some different ways. This year's team didn't quit like we did last year against Wayne. We will be back though and next year can't get here soon enough. We lose Justin Roland, Justin Mock, D.C. Cranford, Micah Jarrett (I think), Tanner Brown, and Matt Hall. We should have Corbin Shive back next year who played showcase, and lots of good young pitching from the junior team who made it to the states. Very bright future as always for Rowan County. Good luck to the remaining teams. Go Area III! :trophy:

    Cherryville wins first game today by score of 10-5, giving Randolph County their first loss of the tournament and setting up a final game to be played in approximately 30 minutes. Congrats to both teams for playing so well this week, but this will surely be the final game, winner is state champ.
