    Cherryville radio announcers giving big credit to the pitcher Veal for at least 3 very nice defensive plays on shots up the middle, turning 2 of them into double plays.

    A couple of you were asking about that "Springer" incident. I don't know a whole lot of details, but apparently, one of the C-Ville player's parents, who are divorced, were both there and they got into it. I heard after the incident in the ballpark, something happened in the parking lot too! Pretty ridiculous stuff if you ask me. Leave that crap at home.

    Hard to believe Cherryville and Shelby see each other in an elimination game so soon. Also, why do people think Mooresville is an underdog?

    JM15, it wouldn't surprise me to see Mooresville win tonight, but as for the "underdog" stuff,,, I guess that comes from based on what Rowan has done to them during the season, including last week's Area III sweep outscoring them 35-13 in just 2 games. Both teams hit the ball well 1-9, and both teams have that ace (Rowan's Shive and Mooresville's Lomoscola),,, however after the #1's, Rowan's 2nd/3rd line pitching is probably better than Mooresville's.

    Mooresville lost their #2 (Williams) late in the season due to injury, they could really use him.

    Considering this is the 3rd game in 3 days, look for a lot of runs to be scored tonight.

    Congrats to Rowan who played an outstanding game last night against Cherryville. Jake Watts pitched well the entire game. Rowan hits it well and really hustle. The Cherryville bats were not to impressive but the pitcher from Rowan done a good job. Hopefully the Post 100 bats gets hots and we get to rolling for a while! I was near booze when he won the money but just could not get him split it with me! Good crowd support for Cherryville last night!

    tj,

    Mooresville's 1st baseman that your talking about is Brantley Horton and hes a true class act.. I feel bad that he has to report so soon but hes one heck of a kid with a very good family behind him! I wish him the best.
