    Cherryville vs Shelby

So what happened with the delay in the 3rd inning that the radio announcers were talking about?

    Mooresville 2

    WP: Forrest Buchanan
    LP: Ian Walters
    SV: Cody Laws

Rowan jumps on Moors starter Ian Walters for three runs in the top of the first inning and two more in the third highlighted by a solo home run by Jon Crucitti. Ross Whitley relieved Walters and quieted the hot Rowan bats and held them where they were for the rest of the game. I believe Post 66 only finished with maybe three hits, so credit Rowan pitching for keeping the Moors bats quiet. Only problem Rowan pitching had tonight was too many walks. The two runs Mooresville scored were on bases loaded walks. Parker Gobbel, Alex Litaker and Cody Laws relieved Rowan starter and eventual winner Forrest Buchanan.

Zach Smith had a two-run RBI triple in the first inning.
Trey Holmes took two pitches to the wall just missing homeruns.

Rowan will play Wilmington Tuesday night at 7.
Mooresville will play Shelby, who eliminated Cherryville today, at 3 pm.
