NC Sun Devils 18U Showcase Team

    The NC Sun Devils 18U Showcase Team will hold try-outs on December 9th @ Freedom High School in Morganton, NC for any 2008,2009, and 2010 player wishing to play showcase and ASA tourneys. I am looking for talented, dedicated , good young women to fill our roster for next season.

    This is the Sun Devils organization that was formed several years ago by a current successful college coach. After accepting a job the team played for one fall and then went away for 1 year, I recently received the okay to reform the organization and I'm very excited in forming a talented team from this area.

    Try-Out

    The Try-out times will be from 10:30-1:30 at Freedom High School. Several good players have contacted or been contacted, this should be a very solid team. Anyone interested in trying out give me a call or e-mail.

    Sun Devils 18U update

    Try-outs were successful with several very good ball players attending. 6-7 players were chosen with others invited back for another look. Anyone else looking to play showcase ball next summer contact me at the above e-mail address. Round two of try-outs will be January 13th at Freedom HS from 12:00-2:30.     Thad Fox is the head coach, he is the head coach at Freedom High School as well. Not sure of the other coaches at this time. He does a great job teaching the players and contacting colleges for them.

    I have agreed to work with Coach Fox this year and hopefully a fine group of young ladies who will call themselves "Sun Devils". I know Coach Fox is working hard to make this a top notch organization, and I feel he will work equally as hard for each of the young ladies. I am looking forward to it.     The try-outs will be at Freedom HS from 12:00-2:30, outside if weather permits. Inside if it's too cold or raining.
