    Congrats to the Indians for winning their game vs. UINDY this afternoon. Lomoscola pitched a heck of a game.

    Congrats to Catawba on winning Game 1 today. Lots of local boys shining too, Lomo (Lake Norman), Julio Zubilago (Carson), Chris Dula (South Iredell), Ryan Bostian (South Rowan), Garrett Furr (Mt.Pleasant),,,, quite a few others making key contributions too.

    Btw karlrocket (you may already know this) but Catawba's head coach Jim Gantt is also the Rowan Co American Legion coach. Great coach, classy guy.

    Catawba(44-15) will lace them up again today against Delta State (47-13) at 4pm. goodluck Indians!

    Catawba takes a loss against Delta State by a score of 6-5. they had 1st and 3rd with two outs in the top of the 9th when Greg Lawson grounded out to third for the final out. Catawba was ahead 5-2 at one point but made 6 errors in the game that came back to cost them. Ethan Satterfield was 3-4 with 2 rbi. Ryan Bostian added 2 RBI. Nate King started on the bump going 6 innings 3 hits 6 runs 3 earned. Before giving to John Tuttle who was able to work out of a bases loaded no outs jam going 2 innings 2 hits no runs. Catawba will play St Marys (texas) 49-10 tomorrow night at 7pm in an elimination game.

    Catawba makes Final 4

    Leading 5-2 entering the top of the 9th inning, the Indians held off St. Mary's (TX) to win 5-4 in an elimination game to advance to the Final 4.

    Good luck on Friday Catawba! Make NC proud.

    Is Dula pitching any for Catawba? I know he's at 1B and leading off. I remember watching him back in 2008(?) during JR Legion ball thinking he had an extremely bright future. Looks like it's all coming together for him. He's a good one.
